Cherrapunjee​

Cherrapunjee, better known as Sohra, is the biggest tourist attraction of Meghalaya

It is a town found in East Khasi Hills District, 53 kilometres from Shillong city. It was established as a Sub-Division in the East Khasi Hills District of Meghalaya in 1982. It has beautiful gorges covered with dense pine trees, breathtaking views, mesmerising waterfall and astonishing living root bridges made from rubber tree roots. The locals of this region are also very heartwarming and hospitable.
